A quiz takes 4 to 100 farms. They come from an open database, or from data you provide yourself.

Fill in the template
One row per turbine, in a spreadsheet or a text editor, saved as CSV. Rows of the same farm share its name.
What goes in each column
Column Needed Content farm_name yes Name of the wind farm, the same on each of its rows. It is the answer players choose. country yes Two-letter ISO code: FR, DE, GB, US… latitude yes Decimal degrees, WGS84, north positive: 48.123456 longitude yes Decimal degrees, WGS84, east positive: 2.123456 turbine_id no Your label for the turbine (T01, A3…). manufacturer no Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, Enercon… model no V110-2.0, SG 5.0-145, E-82… rated_power_kw no Rated power of the turbine in kW (2000 for 2 MW). rotor_diameter_m no Rotor diameter in metres. hub_height_m no Hub height above ground or sea level, in metres. commissioning_year no Year the turbine started operating. offshore no yes or no (empty means no). data_source no Where this row comes from: a survey, a permit, a URL. notes no Anything a reviewer should know. A farm can have any number of turbines; they must lie within 100 km of each other (a wider spread is taken as a coordinate error). Up to 50 farms and 5,000 turbines per file, 1 MB. Rows whose farm name starts with EXAMPLE are ignored. Files saved by Excel with semicolons and decimal commas are read too. Without rated power and rotor diameter, wakes are drawn for a typical turbine.
